Position Summary
The Distribution Lead oversees daily warehouse operations for a designated account, department, or station. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient inbound and outbound flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, upholding quality and safety standards, and leading warehouse staff to meet operational goals. The Distribution Lead plays a key role in tracking performance, resolving issues, and ensuring all assigned work is completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including inbound receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping
- Lead, direct, and support warehouse associates to ensure productivity and adherence to operational standards
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper processes, cycle counts, and system updates
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company policies
- Track and report operational efficiency, labor utilization, and work completion
- Coordinate workflow to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and customer requirements
- Identify and resolve operational issues related to inventory discrepancies, delays, or staffing
- Train, coach, and provide feedback to team members
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and cross-functional teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, additional education or certifications a plus
- 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience, preferably in a lead or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of inventory control, inbound/outbound processes, and warehouse systems (WMS)
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work extended shifts and remain on feet for long periods
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) preferred
- Basic computer skills (WMS, email, reporting tools)
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Schedule & Compensation
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Salaried position, paid weekly
- Compensation: $1,280.00 gross pay, per week.
