2nd shift Glass Cutter
The Job Center is now hiring a General Labor in Batavia OH. This position is for a company handling glass windshields for vehicles. Currently hiring full time employees for 1st shift! Assembly experience required!
Compensation for Assembly:
- 1st shift: $15.50 per hour M-F
- Paid Weekly on Fridays
- Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and PTO.
Schedule of Assembly:
- 2nd 3:30pm-2am (Must train on 1st shift for a month 6am-3:30pm
- Overtime daily
Responsibilities of Assembly:
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut automotive windshield glass to precise specifications
- Read and follow work orders, templates, and cutting diagrams with close attention to detail
- Inspect glass before and after cutting to ensure quality, correct sizing, and absence of defects
- Safely operate glass-cutting tools, machines, and hand tools according to company standards
- Handle glass carefully to prevent damage, chips, or breakage during the cutting process
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to support accuracy and safety
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, to prevent injury
- Communicate any defects, errors, or concerns to supervisors immediately
- Work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and meeting production goals
- Support the windshield installation team by ensuring glass is cut correctly and ready for placement
Requirements of Assembly:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand throughout the shift.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
