RF Repair Technician – Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RF Repair Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic components and radio frequency equipment in a production repair environment. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and RF-related hardware at the component level. The technician will work with radio antennas, amplifier transmitters, and other electronic equipment to ensure devices meet operational and quality standards.
Technicians will perform thru-hole and surface-mount soldering, identify faults in electronic assemblies, and complete component-level repairs on circuit boards. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret technical documentation while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Work is performed at an assigned workbench within a shared production environment alongside other technicians.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in electronics repair, RF systems, or PCB troubleshooting, and be comfortable working with production equipment and electronic assemblies. Basic computer skills are required for documentation, data entry, and navigating internal systems. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively with team members in English and follow safety procedures when working around electronic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform component-level repair and soldering on electronic assemblies and PCBs
  • Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose issues in RF equipment and electronic components
  • Repair and maintain radio antennas, amplifier transmitters, and related hardware
  • Use thru-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques for repairs and modifications
  • Document repair activities and maintain accurate records using computer systems

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with thru-hole and surface-mount soldering
  • Experience with component-level electronic repair and PCB troubleshooting
  • Basic understanding of RF (radio frequency) systems or electronics repair
  • Ability to operate in a production repair environment and follow safety procedures
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of common applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Safety-toe shoes required while working around electronic equipment
